Colt U.S. Army Model 1909 New Service DA revolver, custom engraved by Master engraver John Adams who worked for Colt Firearms, with letter from Adams documenting work as full coverage, nickel plating and custom ebony grips specifically created for a prominent Texas collector and the only specimen of this type done by Adams to date; .45 cal., 5-1/2” barrel, R.A.C. inspected, lanyard ring retained, #42568. This gun is fully and finely scroll engraved displaying approx. 99%+ of its custom re-nickel finish, very good bore, crisp action, very good markings and fine custom ebony grips; a truly masterful work of art by one of the finest modern firearms engravers.
