Colt Third Model Dragoon, .44 cal. percussion, cut for shoulder stock, with martial markings, in very good+ to near fine original condition, retaining original blue and case hardening with cartouched woodgrips, serial #17275. The barrel shows 40-60% original blue, evenly drifting and toning with some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The barrel address and edges are very sharp and crisp. The cylinder shows 75-85% original scene going slightly light with fully visible model U.S.M.R. and Colts patent. The frame shows 50-70%+ case hardening with some good evidence of rainbow colors and just some beginning patina andnatural age. The hammer shows traces of case hardening within its patina; the ramrod shows 20-40% case hardening. The grips are very good+ with sharp cartouches (C.G.S. and W.A.T.), a chip missing from right bottomedge and some marks from attachment of stock. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
