Manufactured in 1890 and subsequently restored. Top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side is marked with the etched panel "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER", the left side of the frame is marked with the three line, three patent dates and the left upper front of the trigger guard is marked "44 C.F.". Standard fixed sights, blue finish with casehardened frame and hammer, and fitted with checkered hard rubber Rampant Colt/American Eagle relief grips. The accompanying factory letter verifies the caliber, 4 inch barrel, blue finish, rubber grips and that it was shipped to Colts San Francisco, California, as 1 of 2 on April 3, 1890.

Condition: Professionally restored overall. The revolver retains half of the blue finish and hints of faded case colors with a mottled gray patina on the balance of the frame. A thin crack is present on the triggerguard, extending forward from the front screw. The replaced grips are very good with some heavy wear present on the lower left side. The left panel has faded to brown and overall the grips show some minor wear. The markings remain clear. The action is fine. More Information
