Colt Single Action Army revolver in .45 Colt caliber with 7 ½” barrel, re-nickeled finish, 1950s steer head grips, serial number 291731. The revolver has been heavily polished and re-chromed with matching visible serial numbers except no number on the butt. The action works well and the bore is fair. The patent dates are partially visible and the barrel address and caliber marking are buffed out. The revolver is accompanied by a hardware store type double loop catalog holster with a late cartridge belt also sporting a large Bowie knife in Western type scabbard with a large stag grip. The grips are simulated to look like ivory from a composite material and shows trail skulls on each side. Factory letter confirms barrel length and caliber shipped April 13th, 1907 to Sears & Co. grips not listed also finished listed as blue. Gale Kennedy Historical West Collection. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
