Colt Single Action Army revolver in .44-40 caliber, 4 ¾” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber Eagle grips with factory letter confirming all features and shipped to Schoverling, Daly and Gales, New York, New York,October 4, 1889 with 6 guns in shipment. The barrel shows correct two line address and “Colt Frontier Six Shooter” barrel marking which are slightly light in the original strike but visible. The barrel and ejector rod housing show 80%-90%original bright blue thinning on the edges and at the top of the sight which is unaltered. The cylinder shows 50%-70% original blue with some toning, thinning, light erosion and an index line between the cylinder stops. The back strap andtrigger guard show 30%-50% bright but thinning and drifting blue. The grips are very good plus to near fine with impeccable fit. The frame shows 50%-70% case hardening going light with some very good rainbow colors on the right side and back offrame and in the groove also where protected. There are light case colors evident on the entire surface of the frame. The hammer shows 50% to 70% case hardening with some vivid colors on its back. The trigger, screws and small parts show bright
