Colt Single Action Army revolver US Cavalry series, .45 caliber, barrel reduced to 5-1/2” possibly by armory, grey patina finish, cartouched wood grips, serial #10570. The barrel shows #4623 with Ainsworth inspectionand correct feathering around sight indicating an arsenal barrel. The remaining serial numbers are all matching, the metal surfaces show a grey patina finish, some light cleaning long ago, some faint evidenceof case hardening and blue where protected, particularly on the bottom of the ejector rod housing. The grips are good with small losses at each toe and a visible OWA cartouche on left. The action is good, boregood, all correct military marks and inspections. Dr. Sterling Fenn collection.
