Colt Single Action Army revolver, US Artillery series, .45 caliber, 5-1/2” barrel, frame #120302, blue and case hardened finish, cartouched wood grips, illustrated Colt Cavalry and Artillery Revolvers, page98, illustration 822. The revolver remains in fine to near excellent original condition with 75-85% of its original arsenal blue and case hardened finish, just some slight thinning and minor aging. The front sight has been slimmed slightly. The grips are fine to near excellent with sharp cartouches on both sides. “ODH 1902” on left, “RAC” on right. The frame is numbered 13274 with “K” inspection. The buttstrap is numbered “6632”(Custer range). The cylinder shows a “K” inspection with no other numbers or markings. The barrel shows a “P” proof. The barrel address is slightly light, the frame markings are sharp. The edges are crisp, the bore isbright. An exceptional example with great grips. From the Robert Hoelscher Collection.
