Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, barrel reduced to 4-5/8”, brown patina finish, one piece wood grips, US-marked frame, cutaway triggerguard, serial #13714. The revolver shows an old cutaway to the triggerguard, reduction of barrel, with low-rise old replacement sight, and the triggerguard was removed for quick-draw and gunfighting purposes. The Colt shows an italic barrel address, one-piece wood gripswith trace of RAC marking on bottom of left grip, dark patina with light to slightly heavy pitting and erosion. The ejector-rod housing screw and several other screws are replaced. The action is working, bore fair.An interesting old cavalry series Colt that was modified for fast draw probably during its period of use and shows a lot of character. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
