Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, hard-rubber grips, serial #338184, made approx. 1920. The pistol remains in very good original condition showing 85-95% original blue on barrelstarting to tone slightly with some erosion and light rust just starting. The ejector rod housing shows 50-60% blue, some spotting, minor nicks, and a few mars. The front sight is its full height showing shark-fin profile. The cylinder shows 75-85% toning original blue, some slight spotting, index line, normal aging. The frame shows 50-60% case hardening going smoky grey with some rainbow colors showing lightly within the patina. The backstap and triggerguard show 20-40% toning blue. Grips fit impeccably and are at least very good. The markings are sharp, the edges crisp. The left rear of the frame is marked JTB with hand-held die stamps. The right side of the frame shows a three-letter brand or marking which we cannot identify. The action is tight, the bore near excellent. The gun is sharp overall.
