Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, period European deep cut scroll engraved, one-piece ivory grips, serial #297259, belonging to Buffalo Bill’sWild West Show performer Black Eye Guzman. Guzman was one of the head ropers and trick riders in the Wild West Show who settled in Paris after a series of performances by the Wild West Show there. His family was quotedas saying ‘he liked the wine, and loved the women’. This and two other pistols were obtained from Guzman’s descendents and auctioned by Little John’s more than a decade ago.
