Colt Single Action Army revolver .45 caliber, 4 ¾” barrel, factory engraved, nickel plated, carved ivory grips showing ox head shipped to Tufts Lyons Arms Company, Los Angeles, California, November 2, 1912 with one gun in shipment, serial number 324646. This single action is beautifully engraved in the hand of Cunio Helfricht with characteristic checkerboard panels, Germanic scrolls, ropes and vines and clearly this is the Masters touch. The pistol is fitted with stunning raised carved original ivory grips showing proper deep set Colt medallions. The condition is excellent to near mint retaining 98% to 99% plus bright original nickel with only slight evidence of handling and minimal to almost no use. The interior is bright and the grips are exceptional also showing just a little pleasant yellow patina and slight handling. Tufts- Lyons Arms Company in Los Angeles handled many deluxe Colt firearms for early celebrities such as Will Rogers, Tom mix and they where the premier Colt dealer in Los Angeles at this time in 1912.
