Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, 4-3/4” barrel, traces of blue and case hardened finish, simulated steer-head ivory grips with silver initial “T” on right side. Serial #215953. The revolver remains in good to fair original condition with traces of blue in protected areas, balance drifted to grayish brown. Some scattered erosion, pinprick pitting, good markings, good action, good bore. Front sight slimmed slightly, all matching visible numbers. Made about 1903. The grips are typical of the 1950’s era and a silver button-shaped plaque is inlaid into right top grip. Sold to a Southern California collector by John L. Gangel (Papa John) who believed it to have been used by a movie extra in the 1950’s B-Western era. Would be interesting to identify this “T” in right grip. Est: $1,000 - $2,000
