Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 caliber, 4-3/4” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, hardrubber grips, factory roll die engraved “W.F. & Co” on butt, shipped to Wells Fargo & Co, W. M. Ashton,purchasing agent, shipped April 6th, 1909. With all features as confirmed on factory letter. Formerly of the Willis Neuwirth collection. The revolver remains in very good plus condition with 50-70% original blue and case hardening, some even wear at high points and edges and loss of finish from holstering and handling. Some very bright areas of blue and case hardening remain where protected, the balance drifting to a lightpatina. All matching visible serial numbers. Very good grips, sharp markings, good action, good bore, front sight its full original height. The 4-3/4” barrel is extremely scarce with authentic Wells Fargo markings.
