Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 cal., 5-1/2" barrel (reduced from 7-1/2"), deluxe New York scroll engraved probably by L. D. Nimschke, nickel plated with extra fine raised carved ivory grips, showing handsomeox, serial #105870; factory letter indicates shipped to Schoverling, Daly & Gales in the soft for engraving on July 28, 1884, 15 guns in shipment, grips not listed. The Colt shows 85-95% original period nickel finishwith some drifting at the edges, gripping areas and muzzle. The markings are sharp, the edges are crisp, some just starting minor aging. The engraving is exceptionally good quality and shows a wolf head below thehammer screw. The small parts, screws and hammer show considerable original color. The grips are in near fine condition, showing just some minor cracking and aging. The reduction of the barrel was accomplishedduring period of use and a nicely made sight was dovetailed into the barrel. The action is good, the bore is very good, all matching serial numbers. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
