Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 Colt cal, 5-1/2" barrel , blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, serial #350951 with affidavit stating this Colt by serial number belonged to Texas Ranger and westernlawman Jeff B. Milton. The affidavit states that this gun and a note from Jeff Milton were given to Alvin Brian Otto by Earl Quinn, brother of John Quinn of Navasota, Texas. Earl Quinn owned the local drug store andjohn Quinn owned a cotton plantation. John and Earl Quinn's mother was maiden named Yarbrough, and a direct blood relative of Jeff Milton. The note read: "Dear Earl, this old .45 has been handy for some years.You only put 5 ctgs. in that will do the trick. 6 is bad if you drop it. Uncle Jeff." The document further states "John D. Quinn was married to my father's sister, Vera B. Otto, making John Quinn my uncle." Thepistol was transferred to Mr. David Tate July , 2006, signed Alvin B. Otto.
