Colt Single Action Army revolver, .45 Colt cal., 4-3/4" barrel, factory engraved, nickel finish, raised carved pearl grips, shipped to Simmons Hardware St Louis MO November 3, 1889, 2 guns in shipment, all featuresconfirmed by factory letter except barrel length not listed and stocks listed as rubber (Colt allies like Simmons often added aftermarket pearl grips to increase their margin of profit). The revolver shows traces of original nickel drifted to gray brown with scattered light to moderate pitting and some slightly heavier pitting at the muzzle. The metal surfaces show a little wear at the edges, the markings are slightly light,engraving also slightly worn from being carried in a holster. The grips are nicely carved in high relief with a great steer's head and fit well. The front sight has been trimmed slightly, the action good, the borefair. An attractive factory engraved black powder that shows honest use and was carried a long way in a holster from the pattern of wear. Est.: $7,000-$14,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
