Colt Single Action Army revolver .44-40 caliber, 5 ½” barrel, re-blued finish, hard rubber grips, serial number 189173 made about 1899. This revolver shows about 95% to 98% of an old re-blued finish with good Colt Frontier Six Shooter visible on left side of barrel, good patent dates and barrel address. All matching visible serial numbers. The hammer has been changed to a postwar type and the action is good with bore slightly rough. The grips show wear and fit well and are probably the originals. The cylinder pin is also an oversize replacement and the front sight has been slimmed slightly. Most likely rebuilt for Western re-enactment shooting. Est.: $900-$1,800.
