Colt Single Action Army revolver, .41 Colt cal., 4-3/4" barrel, blue and case hardened finish, raised carved ivory medallion grips, shipped to Lee Hardware, Saline, Kansas c/o Sam D. Goodson, December 15, 1913; one gun in shipment and under remarks the records indicate the revolver was originally furnished with a double action or long flute cylinder, serial #330352. The raised carved ivory grips are not mentioned in the letter,but are definitely Colt products, fit well, show nice aging and the left grip shows breaks and repairs during use with the right grip showing detailed carving of steer head. Documentation indicates that Sam Goodson was listed in the Salina city directory as a Deputy Sheriff at time of the gun being shipped to Lee Hardware Company, who undoubtedly special ordered it for him. Also a period photograph of Lee Hardware isincluded. The pistol remains in very good+ condition with 60-80% evenly thinning and toning, blue and case hardened finish, natural aging, light erosion and pinprick pitting where the finish is lost. The
