Colt Single Action Army revolver, 38-40 caliber, 4-3/4” barrel, grey patina finish, one-piece ivory grips, sold to Carey Hardware Co, shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, & Bartlett, shipped August 27th, 1892. Finish listed asblue. All features verified except grips (not listed). The pistol shows light to moderate pitting and erosion, some slight cleaning long ago, now toned back. The gront sight has been changed to a German silver blade-typerifle sight during period of use. The markings are good on the frame, slightly light on the barrel. Action is good, bore fair to good and still bright. All matching serial numbers. The revolver is fitted withgenuine to the period Colt grips and is slightly undersized. Possibly some shrinkage and age cracks that have a nice look and are definitely old original Colt grips. There has been an extra safety notch cut into thecylinder during period of use that is extremely well done and shows age. With factory letter. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
