Colt Single Action Army Revolver, .45 caliber 7-1/2” barrel, finely custom engraved in western scrolls, silver plated, showing 1880 YO Centennial 1980, a century of ranching in Texas roll died on barrel. R. L. Wilson onscript, hand engraved on left side of barrel. Screwless ivory grips with silver inlay showing YO ranch bran, long horn cattle, and Texas around a Lone Star. Also Lone Star marking on triggerguard and other YOMarkings. The triggerguard shows “OF” stamped in a circle, which is probably engraver’s signature. The front of the frame is stamped with a small “YO” brand and number “49”. The pistol shows 98-99% plus silver finishapplied at time of engraving. The pistol is serial #7A13689, and is contained within a Colt custom workshop deluxe carrying case with brass handles on each side. The YO ranch was one of the most famous in Texas andCharlie Shriner in 1980 was one of the most recognized firearms collectors. Charlie consulted with R.L. Wilson on a small issue of YO ranch firearms and this is the only one this cataloger has viewed with Wilson’s name
