High condition 'First Generation' single action revolver chambered in .45 Colt, circa 1917. Features a nickel plated finish, 4 3/4" barrel with two line address, ejector rod, blade front sight, 'v' notched rear sight, fluted six-shot cylinder, checkered hammer spur, and Colt two-piece black checkered plastic grips. Includes a Colt velvet lined wood display case with key and a copy of the Colt factory letter. The letter states the revolver was shipped to Richards and Conover of Kansas City, Missouri on June 1, 1917 in a one gun shipment. The letter also lists the stocks as: Pearl decorated on one side with a carved steer head motif and on the other with the monogram "JHF." The revolver exhibits approximately 94% of it's original bright nickel finish showing only slight muzzle wear, light scratches and a few small scattered losses. The frame also shows some scattered pin-prick pitting on the underside of the top strap. Action is crisp, the bore is bright with sharp rifling but shows light scattered rust and plastic grips are near fine.
