Colt Second Model Dragoon, elaborately factory engraved with rare panel scene showing Dragoon soldier on horseback shooting buffalo, serial #10333. This iconic Colt is one of the most well recognized andillustrated of all Colt firearms, being featured in "The Book of Colt Firearms" by Sutherland and Wilson, page 90; "The Book of Colt Engraving" page 25; "Colt Engraving", page 33, just to name a few. This Colt hasbeen housed in many well known collections, including the Johnny Bassett collection, the Dr. Chester Bonoff collection, the Frank Singer collection, and now consigned by the estate of Johnny Woodard. The pistol is .44cal. with standard Second Model features, showing ultra-fine cloud scrolls and unusual borders like early squareback Navy and Pockets.
