Colt Second Model Dragoon, elaborately factory engraved with rare panel scene showing Dragoon soldier on horseback shooting buffalo, serial #10333. This iconic Colt is one of the most well recognized andillustrated of all Colt firearms, being featured in "The Book of Colt Firearms" by Sutherland and Wilson, page 90; "The Book of Colt Engraving" page 25; "Colt Engraving", page 33, just to name a few. This Colt hasbeen housed in many well known collections, including the Johnny Bassett collection, the Dr. Chester Bonoff collection, the Frank Singer collection, and now consigned by the estate of Johnny Woodard. The pistol is .44cal. with standard Second Model features, showing ultra-fine cloud scrolls and unusual borders like early squareback Navy and Pockets. The right side of the barrel lug shows a beautifully engraved panel scene,which is inspired by the artwork of George Catlin. We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
