Colt SAA revolver, .455 Eley cal., 7-1/2” London address barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #77102 with three separate factory letters dated March 16, 1979, July 2, 1985 and September 6, 2013 confirming caliber and finish,barrel length and type of stocks “Not Listed”, shipped to Colt’s London Agency, London, England on January 26, 1882, 56 guns of same type in shipment (Remark on Sept. 6, 2013 letter notes 7-1/2” barrel length was considered standard issue for that time period.). This gun is in overall very good + condition showing approx. 30% original blue finish on the barrel; approx. 55% original finish on the ejector housing, approx. 50% original finish on the trigger guard, 20% original finish on the backstrap and traces of original case colors in protected areas of the frame with the hammer gone to a silvery tone; the bore is fine, the action crisp and the markings very good including the British proofs; the grips areoverall very good to near fine with the majority of their original finish remaining; a couple mars to the left side of the grip and some knackering to the bottom of the right grip.
