Colt SAA revolver, .45 cal., barrel period reduced to 4-3/4” with repositioned brass front sight, nickel finish, raised carved ivory grips, #24673 with factory letter indicating .45 cal., blue finish, barrel length and type of grips “Not Listed”, shipped to B. Kittredge & Co., Cincinnati, OH on April 5, 1876, 17 guns in shipment. This gun is in overall very good condition showing approx. 15% scattered nickel finish with the balance gone to a grey patina and scattered areas of erosion; crisp action, good bore, sharp markings and a pair of raised carved steerhead grips that are classic Western and overall very good showing wear, beautiful color and an old repair to the top arch of the left grip; a great looking Colt that probably ended up in the West.
