This gun is in overall good untouched condition showing traces of original blue in protectedareas with the balance gone to a brown and gray patina; dark bore that may clean to good; good action and markings, all matching visible serial numbers, cylinder pin head broken off decades ago; grips are overallworn but good showing some scattered old mars. This gun is accompanied by an old double loop holster and cartridge belt that is dry and separated in several places with some of the cartridge loops loose as theylost their stitching. This is the first time this rig has been offered on the collector’s market as it descended directly thru the family of our consignor who indicated his wife’s grandfather, Oscar James King, was the original owner. King was reportedly born in Iowa and moved to Fresno, California in 1902. An untouched blackpowder single action Colt and period rig with family history. Est.: $1,500-$3,000.
