Colt SAA revolver, .44-40 cal., etched panel, 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, wood grips, #57033 with factory letter confirming caliber and finish (barrel length and type of stocks “Not Listed”),shipped to Hartley & Graham, New York, NY on June 16, 1880, 50 guns in shipment. This gun is in overall very good to fine condition showing approx. 35% original blue, primarily in protected areas of barrel assembly andcylinder with strong traces of original case colors in protected areas of the frame; very good bore, crisp action, sharp markings including matching visible serial numbers (barrel included); majority of etched panelscene on left side of barrel still visible; very good grips with scattered wear to finish and some old mars from carry and storage; “donut hole” ejector rod actuator and brass ejector rod spring; a very nice, un-molestedcommercial blackpowder first generation Colt SAA.
