Colt SAA revolver, .38 W.C.F. cal., 7-1/2” barrel, blue and case hardened finish, checkered black hard rubber eagle grips, #147390 with three factory letters dated Oct. 9, 1979, Sept. 13, 1985 and Sept. 6, 2013 confirming caliber, barrellength and finish with type of stocks “Not Listed”, shipped to Fletcher, Jenks & Co., Detroit, Michigan on Sept. 19, 1892, one gun I shipment; in overall very good to near fine condition showing considerable original blue andoriginal case colors on metal surfaces, crisp action and markings, very good bore; grips are overall very good with a couple minor old small nicks on the edge of the right grip butt; pictured on page 280 of the Wilkersons and Hoyt book, TheOfficial Record of The Colt Single Action Army Revolver 1873-1895 with notation on page 353 that out of 3,468 standard .38 W.C.F. caliber SAAs produced in the serial # range of 1thru 164100, only 274 were blued with 7-1/2” barrels.Provenance: Richard Atkinson, Greg Brown.
