Colt SAA Flattop Target revolver, .32-44 S&W Gallery cal., 7-1/2” barrel, Target sights, blue finish, checkered hard rubber grips, #127730 in overall good to very good condition showing a brown and grey patina to metal surfaces, somescattered spots of erosion; outside barrel surface has been cleaned at one time with patina returning; crisp action, good markings and bore, evenly worn overall good to very good grips; covered in pages 192-195 of David Brown’s book,The 36 Calibers of The Colt Single Action Army; accompanied by three factory letters dated March 12, 1958, February 12, 2004 and September 6, 2013 confirming .32/c-Gallery cartridge, barrel length, finish, type of stocks and Target sights, shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Co, Chicago, Illinois on October 12, 1888, 3 guns of same type in shipment (1958 photo copy of letter has typed note at bottom appearing to indicate other two guns in shipment as #s 127725 and 127726).
