Colt Richards conversion of 1860 Army to .44 center fire, blue and case hardened finish, select varnished wood grips, British proofed, serial #2533 with E marking indicating shipment to London agency. The revolvershows 15-30% original blue on barrel drifting on edges and sides but very colorful by breech, bottom of barrel, top of barrel at muzzle, and where protected. The barrel address is sharp and there is some erosion,spotting and just beginning pinprick pitting. The cylinder shows 75-85% original scene with mostly visible engagement dates. There is a small amount of pitting and traces of blue on the cylinder. The frame shows 10-20% case hardening mixed with a mottled light brown patina. The hammer shows traces of case hardening. The ejector rod housing shows traces of blue and the ejection system retains its original parts. The grips show a slightly better than average grain and about 50% thinning varnish, and are rated at very good+. There is a trace of blue on the backstrap; the front sight has been slimmed slightly.
