Revolver, 6-Shot. Large frame, large caliber, double-action. Produced 1898-1946. Swing-out, hand-ejector cylinder. Manufactured 1917. This revolver is one that went to Great Britain during WW1 . Designated Mk1. Webley. British, and Canadian forces received 60,000 during WW1, and seen service until the end of WW2. British proofed, including the "Broad Arrow"/ Screw hole in butt for lanyard ring, (Missing) The knurled ejector rod head is also missing. Colt 2-line address on top of barrel, and "New Service .455 Eley" on side of barrel. Rampant Colt on left frame. Proper 5.5" barrel. Fixed open , notch sights. Bore is fair, with slight pitting. Cylinder chambers are good, but dirty. Action is smooth/tight. Cylinder indexes properly. Revolver has had a nickel plating applied, except the hammer, trigger, cylinder release lever, and rod. All markings are clear. Finish loss on front cylinder. Also, Mother of Pearl grips, with black spacers have replaced the originals. Refinish is good, with small scratches, but nothing serious. Replaced grips are excellent. Comes with a black leather, S&W snap holster. NRA Condition-Good-very Good. C&R eligible.
