U.S. Model 1917 Double Action Revolver, by Colt, #260342, butt marked #146779, .45 ACP cal., 5-1/2'' barrel, parkerized finish, factory smooth walnut grips with lanyard loop in butt. Includes belt and rig with components dating from WWI and the early WWII era, such as 1942 dated early pattern 1st aid pouch, 1918 dated three-pocket half-moon pouch marked ''5th Inf. Co. H.12'', Mills marked canvas belt with brass hardware, and scarce 1942 dated holster by B&C. Condition is fine as arsenal refinished for WWII, retaining approx. 92% finish with most of the thinning near muzzle and at topstrap, as well as high edges of cylinder. Light carbon spotting to bright sides of hammer. Grips with oil darkening and small scuffs and minor losses at heel. Action is good, bore is bright. Condition to belt and rig is overall very good to fine, with previous owner's name marked in ink at rear portion of belt. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R)
