Also known as the Model M .380, this example was manufactured in 1925, is a type II variation and includes the original box. The matching numbered slide has the standard sights with the rounded rear and blade front, and is marked on the left side with the two-line Colt address and patent markings with the Rampant Colt behind the serrations, and on the right side "COLT AUTOMATIC/CALIBRE .380 HAMMERLESS". The trigger guard bow is marked on the left side with the Colt "triangle/VP" proof under the number "1", and on the opposite side with the number "34". The pistol is fitted with the original hard rubber grips having the Colt banner at the tops and uncircled Rampant Colts at the bottoms. It has the original nickel finish magazine marked on the base "CAL.380/COLT". Includes the Colt maroon box numbered to the gun, bearing the white label "HAMMERLESS" over the white lettered blue label "Colt Automatic Pistol./RIMLESS. SMOKELESS. .380" and "NICKEL FINISH" on one end, with the original labels on the inside lid and box bottom intact, along with an original instruction and shooting suggestions sheets.

Condition: Factory replated with 98% nickel finish with scattered light scratches and handling marks and clear original markings. There is a plated over dent present on top and rear right side of slide. The grips are excellent showing very light handling with well defined details and checkering. Mechanically excellent. The fine original box is intact with one corner on the lid separated, showing wear around the edges, with complete labels.
