Colt Model 1908 Model semi-auto pistol with non-factory engraving and inscribed dates, .25 cal., 2” barrel, re-nickeled finish, checkered hard rubber grips, #234141. This gun is in overall good condition showingconsiderable remaining old re-finish on metal surfaces, sharp markings, dark bore, good action and worn but overall good grips; inscribed dates include “8-4-44; 7-27-45; 3-5-45; 6-29-44; 7-3-44; 8-5-44; 2-26-45;10-6-45; 12-30-45 and 6-?-45”. Although lost in the estate, Little John’s handled the sale of this gun years ago with our recollection that it reportedly was the personal protection weapon of an Army nurse.Could this be her "battle record" for friendly encounters?
