Manufactured in early 1903. The pistol features the correct early slide with the front serrations marked on the left side with the two block, two line Brownings patent dates and address followed by the circled Rampant Colt and "AUTOMATIC COLT/CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS" on the right side. The serial number is marked on the left side of the frame. Blade and notch sights and casehardened rounded hammer spur. Fitted with hard rubber checkered grips with "COLT" in a banner at the top and the Rampant Colt in the center.

Condition: Very fine. The pistol retains 75% bright original high polish blue finish with scattered pitting spots, wear on the muzzle end of the slide and high edges. The grip straps are thinning to a gray patina and there is some overall scattered minor spotting and scratches. There is a small area on the left side of the slide that has been cleaned. The hammer retains 80% original bright case colors. The grips are excellent with a couple very minor dings and crisp checkering. The markings are crisp and clear. Mechanically excellent. The magazine is a modern replacement.
