Colt Model 1877 thunderer in .41 caliber double action revolver, blue and case hardened finish, hard rubber grips, showing 4 ½” barrel and retaining considerable original finish, serial number 98846. The revolver is accompanied by a pitiado embroidered holster and belt rig of the turn-of-the-century era. Approximately 40% to 60% original blue and case hardening remain with some bright and vivid areas. There is some scattered light to moderate erosion and pitting from being carried in a holster and none of which is serious. The markings are sharp and the edges are crisp. The front sight is its full original height. The grips show some wear at the edges also from being carried in this holster. The action is good and the bore is very bright. A good-looking Mexican rig from about the time of the revolution and Poncho Via. Gale Kennedy Historical West Collection. Est.: $800-$1,600.
