Colt Model 1877 DA ejectorless revolver, .38 cal., etched panel, 3-1/2” barrel, nickel finish, checkered hard rubber grips, #6236 in overall very good condition showing approx. 20% original nickel finish with traces of original etched panel on left side of barrel, very good bore, very good action at time of description, good markings and very good grips; accompanied by a tooled leather flap holster in overall very good condition with factory letter confirming all features of this 2nd year of production Lightning revolver and indicating shipment to William Read & Sons, Boston, Mass. on May 10, 1878 in a shipment of 150 guns. A nice honest antique Colt with all matching numbers and holster. Est.: $400-$800.
