Colt Model 1877 DA ejectorless revolver, .38 cal., 4-1/4” barrel, checkered hard rubber grips, #57006, accompanied by a great Knox & Tanner, MAKER, Rawlins, Wyo.-marked holster with old carved cattle brands. This gun is in overall fair condition showing a brown patina on metal surfaces with scattered erosion, matching visible serial numbers, replaced cylinder pin, action is partially working at time of description but does notstay on full cock and the trigger return spring is not working; the grips are worn but complete; the holster is, as mentioned previously, a highly desirable Knox & Tanner and in classic well-worn condition with lower half of back skirt cut off years ago; would be interesting to research the cattle brands carved in the holster as they are likely spreads around the Rawlins area.
