Colt Model 1872 Open-top .44 rimfire cal., single action revolver, 8" barrel, Army size grips, traces of original finish, serial #1020. The barrel shows a brown patina with some evidence of blue mixed in, light pitting and erosion, some staining and spotting from being holstered and carried. The barrel address is good, the edges fairly crisp. The cylinder shows light cleaning long ago and about 90% scene with fully visible engagement dates. The frame shows strong traces of case hardening within a mottled gray patina. There is a hint of blue at the top of the backstrap. The select quality varnished wood grips show a small loss at the right toe and a repair at the left top. The grips are good with about 50% varnish and wear at the edges. The hammer shows 20-30% case hardening and bright blue on rimfire pin. All matching numbers, good action, brightbore. A far better than average 1872 that's a strong 7.5 to 8 on 1 to 10 scale. Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
