Colt Model 1862 police revolver in .36 caliber percussion with desirable 6 ½” barrel, serial number 10737. The revolver remains in good to very good original condition showing traces of original finishes mixed with a light gray to brown patina. There is some scattered light to moderate erosion and surface pitting and the barrel address and markings are good including patent date on cylinder. The varnished wood grips are very good showing 50% to 70% original finish with just some thinning at the edges and slight normal wear. The back strap and trigger guard show traces of darkened original silver and all matching visible serial numbers. The action is good and generally good to very good overall. Est.: $900-$1,800.
