Manufactured in 1862, the second year of production. The barrel has the one line New York address and frame has "COLTS / PATENT" on the left side, with "36 CAL" on left trigger guard shoulder and the stagecoach hold-up scene roll engraved on the cylinder. Visible numbers match ("2" in the frame serial number has been double stamped). Fitted with a varnished one-piece grip.

Condition: Fine. The barrel retains 30% original blue finish and the cylinder retains traces of blue in the protected areas with the overall balance a smooth brown patina. There is some minor spotting on the barrel (mostly near the muzzle). The cylinder retains most of the scene. The frame and loading lever have a mottled gray patina with traces of original case colors in the protected areas. The grip straps retain traces of original silver plating in the protected areas with the exposed brass having an even patina. The grip is very fine with most of the varnish remaining and some minor handling marks.
