Colt Model 1861 round barrel Navy revolver, .36 cal. percussion, traces of blue and case hardened finish, varnished wood grips, serial #26451. The barrel retains 10%+ original blue that is still bright around the breechand under the loading lever. The barrel address is sharp, the edges fairly crisp, some minor erosion, spotting and light to moderate pinprick pitting. The cylinder shows 50-70% cylinder scene, with mostlyvisible engagement dates and a light patina. The frame shows 15-30% case hardening within a smoky gray original color. The hammer shows 50-70% case hardening, dulling naturally and the ramrod shows 30-50% casehardening with some bright rainbow colors. The straps show faint traces of silver, the varnished wood grips are very good with 75% varnish, some wear at the edges, scratches, marks and minor imperfections. All matchingserial numbers, very tight action, excellent bore. A very nice Navy that's better than it sounds and we would rate it a 7.5 to 8 on 1 to 10 scale. Est.: $2,000-$4,000
