Manufactured in 1863. The top of the barrel has the standard one line New York U.S. AMERICA address, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame, and "36 CAL" on the left side trigger guard shoulder. The cylinder is roll engraved with the Texas Navy scene and stamped with the partial serial number "5108". The matching serial number is marked on the barrel, frame, trigger guard and back strap, "5108" on the arbor pin and the wedge is mis-matched. Fitted with a one-piece walnut grip.

Condition: Good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled brown patina with some flash pitting on the breech end of the barrel, cylinder and hammer sides. The cylinder scene is mostly visible. The trigger guard and back strap have an aged patina with traces of original silver in the protected areas. The grip is also good with some moderate wear on the lower edges and a few scattered minor dings and scratches. The markings are clear. The action is fine.
