Colt Model 1860 Army Richards conversion to .44 caliber center-fire in good original condition showing traces of original finish with wood grips, serial number 3815. The metal surfaces show a brown patina finish with some slight traces of blue and case hardening mixed in. There is some minor erosion and pinprick pitting mostly at the breech and firing areas. The cylinder shows considerable original scene with at least 30% to 40% remaining. The barrel address and patent markings are sharp. All matching visible serial numbers. The grips are good with some wear at the edges, scratches, small losses and normal imperfections. The ejector rod head is an old crudely made replacement and the front of the muzzle shows wear from a holster and the sight is been slimmed slightly. The action is good and generally good overall with all matching serial numbers. These Richards conversions were used on the early frontier. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
