Manufactured in 1861. The rebated cylinder has non-factory fluting with "PAT. SEPT. 10th 1850" stamped in one of the flutes. The barrel has the one line New York U.S. America marking, "COLTS/PATENT" on the left side of the frame and a small letter "D" on the left trigger guard shoulder. Matching numbers on the barrel, frame, grip straps, and arbor pin with the wedge having been renumbered to the gun. It has a four screw frame cut for a stock and a smooth one-piece grip.

Stock:
Gauge: 44 percussion
Finish: blue/casehardened

Serial Number: 6268
Condition: Very good as custom made into a fluted cylinder configuration. The revolver has a smooth gray patina with most of the metal surfaces retaining a protective coating and the back strap retaining streaks of original blue finish. The brass retains heavy amounts of original silver plating around the trigger guard. The grip is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks and most of the varnish remaining. Mechanically fine. A nice early Model 1860 that has been modified into this configuration, but still it is a nice early Model 1860!
