Colt Model 1860 Army, .44 cal. percussion revolver, brown patina finish, wood grips, 4-screw frame, serial #17202. This Colt shows a minor sub-variation whereas there is no capping groove cut into right recoilshield and odd cut-outs on each side of frame for shoulder stock. This is an uncataloged variation which is not even in most books, and also the pistol shows zero marking on barrel, frame, trigger guard and backstrap,which old time collectors believe that this indicates the pistol was supplied with a shoulder stock. The metal surfaces show a gray to brown patina finish with mottled rust and erosion, some traces of finish mixed in, some light to slightly heavy scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The cylinder shows approximately 40-60% scene with some fairly deep nicks and dents. All matching serial numbers, good barrel address, goodframe marking. The grips show 30-50% original varnish, some small losses, marks from attachment of stock, but generally good to very good. The action is good, the interior very good. Est.: $1,250-$2,500

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
