Colt Model 1860 .44 caliber percussion revolver civilian series in very good plus to near fine condition serial number 152572. The barrel shows approximately 60% to 80% original bright commercial quality bluefinish with some wear and drifting mostly at the edges of the barrel and muzzle. The address is sharp and edges very crisp. The cylinder shows 30% to 50% cylinder scene and approximately 30% to 50% original blue. Theframe shows approximately 50% to 70% case hardening with some very nice rainbow colors and is neat naturally. The hammer shows 50% to 70% case hardening and the loading lever shows 40% to 60% that is going slightly dark. The grips are very good plus and show approximately 75% to 85% original varnish with normal wear at the edges, some minor scratches, slight mars and just normal carry and use. The back strap shows 20% to 30%drifting original blue. All matching visible serial numbers with bright and inky blue underneath the loading lever. The action is crisp, the bore is bright. A strong 8 on a 1 to 10 scale. Est.: $3,500-$7,000.
