Manufactured in 1863. Left side of frame is marked "COLTS / PATENT" and "36 CAL" is featured on the left trigger guard shoulder, with no visible barrel address. Matching numbers on frame, barrel, grip straps, and wedge with no visible number on the cylinder. Replacement loading lever and front sight. The front of the muzzle has been embellished. "JM DOLORES" is carved on the left side of the grip and "JM" is carved on right side of grip. Complete with a contemporary oak case. Reportedly, this revolver belonged to Joaquin Murieta (born 1830 died either 1853 or 1878; if the latter is correct, the revolver could be his).

Condition: Good as refurbished. The revolver has a smooth brown patina. There is some minor pitting with no visible navy scene on the cylinder. The brass has a polished appearance.
