Manufactured in 1863. The top barrel flat has the one line New York address, the left side of the frame is marked "COLTS/PATENT" and the left side of the trigger guard is marked "35 CAL". The cylinder has the Navy scene and is marked "COLTS PATENT No 8239". The barrel wedge has been renumbered to the gun, otherwise the numbers match including the arbor pin. Fitted with a one piece grip. The 20th Century custom partitioned case hold a key, Eley cap tin, two cavity bullet mold, percussion nipple wrench/screwdriver and reproduction Colt's Patent marked single faced powder flask. The lid of the case has a blank brass initial plate.

Condition: Very good plus. The revolver has a smooth gray patina with the barrel retaining 25% original blue finish and the frame retaining traces of original case colors in the protected areas. Most of the cylinder scene remains with a series of minor dings. The grip straps retain traces of original silver plating in the protected areas with the exposed brass having an untouched attractive patina. The grip is good with worn high edges and some minor handling marks. Mechanically fine. The case is fine with replacement lining and some minor handling marks.
