Made in 1869, as part of the Late Fourth Model serial range, later shortened to the current length. Brass bead and hammer notch sights, with part of the one line New York address lost, and "COLTS/ PATENT" on the left side of the frame. The loading has been deleted. With the Texas Navy cylinder, grooved recoil shield, brass grip straps and one piece ivory grips, with "MANVEL/ NVN" and a "folk art" person's face cut into the right side.

Condition: Good as period modified, with a smooth silver-gray patina and areas of darker mottling overall, with traces of the cylinder scene, scattered handling marks, and some mild pitting and dings. The cylinder also has some file marks on one-sixth of the circumference. Grip is very good, with stress cracking appropriate to age and a fine aged patina. Hammer spring is broken, but action functions.
