Manufactured in 1866. The revolver has the large oval iron trigger guard, iron back strap and bordered hammer knurling. The top barrel flat is marked "-ADDRESS COL COLT. LONDON.-". "COLTS/PATENT" is restamped on the left side of the frame. The cylinder is roll-engraved with the Texas Navy battle scene, "COLTS PATENT NO.4530" marking and London "Crown/V" and "Crown/GP" proof and inspection marks are stamped on the left side of the barrel lug and on the cylinder over each chamber. The right side of the barrel lug is marked with a broad arrow over "Q G". (Reportedly, this an Australian Queensland marking). The full serial number is stamped on the bottom of the barrel lug, frame, trigger guard, back strap, with the partial number "94530" on the wedge. The barrel will not separate from the frame, so writer was unable to check the arbor pin. Brass post front, hammer notch rear sights and fitted with a varnished one piece walnut grip.

Condition: Very good. The metal surfaces have a smooth mottled gray patina. There are a few minor dings on the cylinder and the scene is about 50% visible. The reoiled grip is also very good with a few minor chips along the bottom edges and overall a few minor dings and handling marks. The markings are clear. The action is excellent.
